LMTce Wants You! We are seeking Approved Providers who would like to join the LMTce team. If you have continuing education courses that have already been approved for distance learning, we’ll get you set up very quickly. It’s an easy task to get courses that are already approved for live presentation approved for distance learning. If you haven’t yet been approved as a Provider, it’s a simple process. Create your class of appropriate material with measurable learning objectives, and get ready to roll!
All the information you need to become an Approved Provider is on the website at www.ncbtmb.org Be sure to read the Approved Provider Handbook before creating new classes, as the NCBTMB now has a list of what is considered appropriate for continuing education and what will not be accepted, including some of the classes that they have approved in the past, as well as the addition of some course topics that were not previously approved.
If you’ve never been a Provider before, you will need to hold your class with at least five people who will evaluate the course (live, in webinar format, or distance learning) so you can submit the evaluations when you submit your course. Once you receive approval from the NCBTMB, certificates can be issued retroactively for one year. In fact, our course, “So You Want to be a Teacher,” by Laura Allen, is a great place to get preliminary information before deciding if you want to take the plunge!
